Hi, we are CreditBook!

At CreditBook, we’re on a mission to transform financial access for entrepreneurs in emerging markets.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) drive a significant share of the country’s GDP—yet, they face major roadblocks when it comes to financing. We believe they deserve fast, flexible, and hassle-free funding to unlock growth and fuel meaningful economic progress.

Our technology removes the barriers of traditional financing—no paperwork, no long waits. With disbursements in under 48 hours, we empower SMEs in Pakistan to improve cash flow and scale their businesses with confidence.

Backed by leading investors like Tiger Global and Firstminute Capital, CreditBook secured over $11M in funding in just 12-18 months and scaled our technology to tens of thousands of micro-businesses. Our API-first product suite seamlessly integrates with businesses, simplifying compliance, risk management, and capital supply.

We’re looking for curious, mission-driven individuals who are passionate about making financing more accessible. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!

Context on the Role

We're working hard to empower small businesses across the country and beyond. This is only possible with a motivated, mission-oriented team of talented people looking to do great work. Our people are at the heart of everything we do.

The People Operations Specialist role is key to scaling CreditBook’s team and culture — shaping the team intentionally through rigorous recruitment processes, enabling an outstanding employee experience by managing core people-processes, streamlining operations, and fostering a culture where employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work.

The primary goal for this role is to make CreditBook a place where talented people feel at home, produce great work, and feel valued and respected every step of the way.

How You'll Make an Impact

In this role, you’ll own the full employee experience—from who we bring on board to how we support them in growing and thriving at CreditBook. Your work will directly shape our culture, streamline operations, and ensure that our people feel respected and empowered.

  • Own the Employee Journey – Run onboarding, engagement, monitoring and offboarding processes to create a seamless, supportive experience at every stage.

  • Streamline People Operations – Manage people-systems, policies, and compliance, ensuring smooth processes and alignment with internal standards.

  • Handle Payroll & Benefits – Ensure accurate and timely payroll, health benefits, and perks administration so employees feel secure and supported.

  • Drive Culture & Engagement – Organize goal-setting, remote communication forums, recognition programs and occasional events to foster a strong, connected team.

  • Recruit & Strengthen Our Employer Brand – Lead talent sourcing and hiring processes. Shape CreditBook’s employer brand in partnership with the Brand team.

  • Enable Growth & Development – Assist in performance management, learning initiatives, and tracking employee progress to help the team reach their full potential.

  • Leverage HR Data & Insights – Track key HR metrics (e.g., NPS scores, retention, engagement, feedback) and provide insights to refine people strategies.

  • Optimize & Automate Processes – Identify ways to improve and scale HR operations, making things more efficient for both employees and the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • HR Expertise in Fast-Paced Environments – 2-4 years in People Operations, HR, or a related role, ideally in a startup.

  • Strong Communicator & Empathetic Leader – Engages effectively with stakeholders at all levels and fosters a supportive culture.

  • Care Deeply about Culture: Passionate about all the finer details that go into creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance workplace.

  • Process-Driven & Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with the ability to run multiple HR processes efficiently and with clear documentation.

  • Tech-Savvy & Data-Driven – Uses HR tools, dashboards, and key metrics to optimize processes and improve decision-making

  • Proactive Problem Solver – Takes initiative, improves people-systems, and tackles challenges independently and reliably, without constant oversight.

  • Operationally Agile & Hands-On – Comfortable executing on the ground in Karachi and working closely to guide the Admin team.

  • Adaptable & Collaborative – Can multitask; thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and works well with diverse teams.

  • Thoughtful with Strong Work Ethic: Ensuring accuracy and care across sensitive operations such as confidential discussions, compensation management and employee concerns.

  • Financial & Business Awareness – Understanding of financial products (credit, repayments, Shariah-compliant financing) is a plus.

Note: This role is based in Karachi, Pakistan.

What We Offer

  • Make a Difference – Be at the forefront of building a fast-growing startup and driving real-world impact for businesses and communities in Pakistan.

  • Ownership & Rewards – Enjoy a competitive salary with stock options—your work contributes directly to our success, and you’ll share in it.
