Senior Product Designer
Oraan
About the role
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll work on design projects of significant scope, and complexity. You’ll work closely with teams to frame user needs and behavior, define optimized user flow, and tweak pixels before launch. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary UX, product management and engineering team to deliver thoughtful and polished design work that is grounded in solid research and validation. You’ll deliver world class experiences that make potentially confusing tasks intuitive and manageable, and empower our members to achieve financial independence.
Your responsibilities will include
-
Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, design managers and engineers
-
Craft beautiful designs and delightful, useful, and usable experiences; using your strengths in visual design, interaction, and product design
-
You’ll own design projects from start to finish, leading various UX initiatives including participating in design sprints and exploring user problems, content mapping, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, and leading stakeholder reviews
-
Ship valuable and high-quality work without sacrificing speed
-
Build user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets using Material Design’s base components
-
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how flows function and look like
-
Prepare and present rough user flows and wireframes to internal teams and key stakeholders
-
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
-
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
-
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and interface elements and building upon them.
-
Contribute to our growing design system and UI library in an effort to cultivate a coherent look and feel across the entire Oraan platform.
-
Partner with product managers, customer support agents and other stakeholders to help yourself develop empathy for our users and advocate for their needs. Data will be just one of the many tools you will use to help inform your work
-
Collaborate with different disciplines. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, product researchers, and front-end developers to explore, build and ship your designs. You will help other disciplines understand the value design can bring to a project and ultimately build and ship the best products.
-
Be a mentor to less-experienced designers and make your team stronger. You’ll provide feedback to your peers to help strengthen your team and Oraan as a whole. You will help your teammates build context, strong decision-making skills, and empathy for our users
